Malware - InjHook18.dll ???

Post by testerics » Tue May 10, 2011 7:28 pm

Using HitmanPro I discovered that I have a malware file ( InjHook18.dll ) in my pc... :(
I just installed and register the TRK Monster Version 4.2 and after this my Symantec Endpoint Protection antivirus and HitmanPro report this infection.
What can be done?
Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for report! It's false positive virus detection (antivirus error). Our developers will check this out as soon as possible.
I've checked all TRK files with virustotal:

TorrentRatioKeeper.exe:
http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/rep ... 1305087338

InjHook18.dll:
http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/rep ... 1305087339

chkupd.exe:
http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/rep ... 1305087766

You can see that InjHook18.dll has only 3 warnings while viruses has more than 20-30 warnings. If your antivirus software allows to add file to trusted, please do it. We will try to update InjHook18.dll as soon as possible.

Thank you for your fast reply!
Please update the specified file, HitmanPro and Symantec are good antivirus and antimalware products, let's keep the TRK a 100% trusted product ;)

We've checked TRK with the latest Hitman Pro 3.5 and Symantec Endpoint Protection (high level heuristic) and didn't get any alerts. Can you try to download and install the latest TRK and try again? What's your antivirus settings?
