Question about uploaded data!

Post by gwolf2u » Fri May 01, 2009 12:08 pm

well first I would like to say I not just like but love this app and maybe that is why I bought it.

ok but I have a question. I know that the program automatically assignees the uploaded data sent to the tracker even if the settings are set up to 500% upload, but I would like to know if there is a change that uploaded data will get exactly the 500% or exactly the value set in the settings!?

if you could do that I would for sure recommend it for some friends (I was the one that supposed to test it lol)
ok thanks a lot.
Cheers from Gwolf2u

Hello.

If you set 500% TRK will try to increase uploaded traffic this way. It’s not multiply 5 times. TRK has logic that changes values (increase/decrease) to make it real. Please, read this topic.

ok I got the idea of this, but still I think that a way to actually upload the, well just not say 500% since is too much, but like 300% (real) of the amount of uploaded data should be good. or a check box in the program settings that will enable this option would be so cool. I only say that since many users actually think that if they set the 500% "limit" they will get the uploaded data exactly multiplied by 5. if you get what I mean. well I hope you can do this in a future update or so.

I'll show you example why we didn't this way...
Lets say you uploaded 100mb in hour and on settings there is 500% (or 300%). Anyway it will look real. 300-500mb is not a problem to upload for most of users. Lets say you uploaded 700-1000mb in hour. 3-5gb will bad. It's too much. We can add checkbox that will allow to "just multiply", but we can get banned users. TRK checks how much user uploaded and tries to increase on needed % when it's possible.

well yeah I get the point
but that's why I said that a max of 300% with a checkbox that will allow to "multiply" exactly the amount set will be cool, I mean just for the low upload speed users. I know lots of guys that got the max upload around 80kb/s and download at 6-700 kb/s, so in short they have to wait about 7 times more to have a real ratio of 1:1 and with TRK like 2-3 times. If you got my point. That's why I think that if a "check box" that will allow to multiply by the exactly of the set % would help get a real ratio like in exactly the same time (refereed to a 300% setting)

Edit: OR make it in just a way that if the checkbox is activated, will use the upload speed at least until you reach a ratio or 2-3
